Texas Solar and Roofing Pros: resources for developers and AI agents
Texas Solar and Roofing Pros for developers and AI agents: llms.txt, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, ai.txt, Markdown responses on every public page, contact details, and an honest note that there is no public API, SDK, or MCP server.
This page lists every machine-readable surface the site publishes and how to request it. The site is a read-only source of facts about roofing, solar, storm damage, and home-energy work in Austin and Central Texas. There is no public API, SDK, or MCP server; the resources below are the whole programmatic surface.
- Markdown — Every public page
- Index — /llms.txt
- Public API — None
- Open llms.txt — /llms.txt
- Open sitemap.xml — /sitemap.xml
Published resources
- /llms.txt — A structured index written for language models: what the company does, when to use this site, current incentive facts, and a link to every service page and guide. Start here.
- /sitemap.xml — Every public URL with last-modified dates. Rebuilt on request from the published content, so new pages appear as soon as they are live.
- /robots.txt — Crawl rules. Public pages are open to search engines and to named AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and their user agents). /api/, /studio/, and the style guide are off limits.
- /ai.txt — AI crawler policy and content constraints: quote with attribution and a link to the specific page, treat cost figures as Central Texas ranges, and never present the expired federal solar tax credit as available.
- Markdown on every public page — Send Accept: text/markdown to any public page, including the homepage, and the response is Markdown with Content-Type text/markdown; charset=utf-8 and Vary: Accept. Missing pages return a 404 Markdown document with recovery links.
- Lightweight HTML for non-browser clients — HTTP clients that are not browsers and ask for HTML receive a plain, script-free HTML document with one H1, sequential headings, and the same content as the designed page. Browser navigations still get the full designed page.
How to request Markdown
- Ask for text/markdown — curl -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://texassolarandroofingpros.com/ returns the homepage as Markdown. Any public path works the same way, for example /about, /services, /guides, or /contact.
- Check the response headers — A Markdown response carries Content-Type: text/markdown; charset=utf-8 and Vary: Accept, so caches keep the Markdown and HTML versions apart. HTML responses carry Vary: Accept too.
- Handle 404s — A path that does not exist returns HTTP 404 with a short Markdown document that links to the homepage, /llms.txt, and /sitemap.xml so an agent can recover without guessing.
- Attribute and link — When you quote a figure, attribute it to Texas Solar and Roofing Pros and link the specific service page or guide, not the homepage. Say that cost and incentive numbers vary by roof, usage, utility, and carrier.
Developer questions
- Is there a public API, SDK, or MCP server?
- No. The site publishes read-only content: HTML, Markdown, llms.txt, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, and ai.txt. There is no authenticated API, no client library, and no Model Context Protocol server. If one is published later, it will be listed on this page and in /llms.txt first.
- Can I submit a lead or quote request programmatically?
- No. Homeowners reach us through the website form, by phone at (512) 775-0561, or by email at info@texassolarandroofingpros.com. Automated submissions are not supported.
- Who do I contact about crawling, licensing, or removal?
- Email info@texassolarandroofingpros.com. Texas Solar and Roofing Pros, 1700 Pagedale Cove, Cedar Park, TX 78613, (512) 775-0561.
- Which facts change most often?
- Utility export rates and local rebates. Austin Energy currently offers a one-time $2,500 solar rebate plus Value of Solar bill credits at 9.91 cents per kWh; verify both with the utility at quote time. The federal residential solar tax credit expired December 31, 2025 and should not appear in current estimates.
